Layout properties
This task area you get from the System menu. Here you can specify general settings for the layout.

Project name
The project name defaults to New Layout and can be changed, for example, to identify the subject area of the layout document. It is visible in the title bar and is output to the layout in the title block during print/PDF export.
Dimension and grid
Layout size, grid visibility and spacing are configured here.
The layout size always changes starting from the layout origin, which is located at the bottom left (coordinates: x-position = 0, y-position = 0). The layout can therefore be enlarged or reduced to the right and upwards.
The grid settings take effect in the layout area and in the 3D view.
Units
For dimensions determined by visTABLE®touch from the layout, you can switch between metric and imperial units of measurement. This setting applies to:
Measurements- Area data in the Layout area
Quick measurementMeasurein 3D
All measurements (e.g., in Properties) are entered in the metric system.
Measure in 3D
After switching units (metric/imperial), a visTABLE®3D view that may already be open must be closed and restarted in order to perform measurements in 3D in the selected unit.
Metric Measurements
The unit of measurement m or mm can be set for Dimensions.
If Automatic is selected for the measurements via the switch, the software automatically switches the unit of measurement from mm to m for each individual mesurement above a threshold value of 10 m.
Notes
Multi-line notes can be assigned here. ENTER creates a line break.
Number of objects
Lists the number of different object types in the layout.
